From a killer bread-head's email:
For about four slices of the killer spelt bread I use one egg, splash some rice milk, some vanilla
extract, and whisk together (at times I'll put in two Tbps. of brown sugar).
I dip the bread in the batter and cook it with either butter or some buttery
spread (my better half cannot eat dairy). Once golden brown on both sides,
I sprinkle cinnamon and drizzle some organic dark maple syrup. My two year
old often wants "toast" for breakfast.

Just writing to say thank you. I just took a loaf of your bread with me on vacation to the caribbean, home for mothers day, and I'm going to send some to my dad for a retirement present so he can commence to loafing around with good bread. He's the one who got me hooked on good bread ya see and when I found your bread I just had to tell him about it. Eating your bread makes me very happy and knowing that you accomplished so much battling adversity gives me hope for all the other people in this world who are still trying. You're awesome and it is the best bread I've ever had.
Dave! I love the bread! I am up here in Tacoma, WA, and there is only ONE place to buy your bread! When you gonna branch out?!? My whole family loves it, and we are die-hard Killer bread folks now, and I have to drive to the mm just for a bread pick up! I would love to see more distribution!
Dear Dave: we have discovered your bread & there is none-other like it! We've left our favorite bread company here in Eugene (Great Harvest) & promote yours - this is what I do: At Market of Choice........I put 2 loaves in my basket & re-arrange the rest for good display - (if someone is around I tell them about your bread) then at the check stand, I ask the checker why your bread is on the TOP shelf & not as accessable as it should be............The SEED bread is our favorite but also buy the RYE for sandwiches - The SEED bread is absolutely the best bread in the world - we have a house in Surprise (Phoenix, Az.) area - I take 3 loaves with me on the airplane to last us while we are there as I cannnnnnot buy that quality there..........Dave, try grinding almonds for Almond Butter - spread on bread/dust with cinnamon - slice banana on it - that's the KILLER BREAKFAST...... We bought the Bosh Breadmaker while at a cooking shop in Arizona.......my husband is the breadmaker; however, since discovering your bread, he's stopped making bread Hooked on your Killer Seed Bread - Tony & Karoline

dkb recipe #2: barbara's favorite sandwich
I like avocado, tomato, bean sprouts and mustard on toasted 21 grain but
that's pretty ordinary. I'd love to hear other fun combos to put
between two slices of DKB.

dkb recipes #1 (send me yours!)
Dear Dave,
Last night, my husband had dinner ready as he always does on Wednesday nights because I work until late. He had made my absolute favorite dinner that he calls
Here is the recipe: 2 cans tuna in water, well drained and add mayonnaise to taste. 1/2 white onion diced and mixed into tuna. 1 Tomato 1 Small can of pineapple well drained. 2-3 Slices of Dave's Killer Bread (Toasted)Blues is our favorite White Cheese (Havarti, Swiss or Extra Sharp Cheddar) First place tuna mixed with mayo and onion on top of Dave's Killer Bread that has been toasted. Next spread a layer of pineapple on top of the tuna with a slice of tomato. Add a few thin onion rings if desired and add your favorite cheese on top. Set oven on broil and place your rack in the center of the oven. Place your melt into the oven until cheese is completely melted over your tasty creation that should take about one or two minutes!
My own website is http://www.gentledoctors.com/
and my name is Veronica Esagui.
Dr. Veronica,
I re-visited your web page to refresh my memory about your work. It’s very impressive, of course. I am honored that you have chosen my bread for your book. I would also like to ask if you might offer your favorite serving suggestion for my bread for a new feature in my newsletter and blog.
Hi Dave,
It was nice talking to you today, my husband and I love your bread and as i promised this is what I am adding on to my book about your awsome bread!
Bread
My favorite bread is Dave’s Killer Bread easily found in the health aisle at most grocery stores. Visit http://www.daveskillerbread.com/ to find out more about it. It keeps well in the freezer and it’s already sliced and ready for the toaster. I like it plain and so does my two-year-old granddaughter Rilee. It’s also great with cheese, jam and/or peanut or almond butter with a hint of honey, a real tasty treat. A glass of juice or milk, along with it, is perfect until dinner time.
PS. Like I said on the phone I am a chiropractor and I have had great success with treating scoliosis but I know that health is more than just getting adjusted, and nutrition plays an important role. This being the reason I picked on your bread, thanks for allowing me to use your brand name bread in the health chapter of the book. It's called The Scoliosis Resource Book for Management and Strenghtening of the Spine. My intent is to be distributed nationwide to schools and chiropractic offices by January of 2008. Take care and stay well. Dr. Veronica
