powerseed's the best, she says

Hello Dave,
I absolutely love all of your breads, but my favorite is the PowerSeed.
Yours is the best bread I have ever had; it's soft, nutty, full of fiber, and has no high fructose corn syrup like big company breads have. It makes good toast, supreme grilled cheese, pb&j, and sandwiches. It doesn't taste like the icky whole wheat bread I grew up with, and it's softer and tastier than any other organic or fresh bread I've ever had. I am happy for you that you've come so far, even with the man trying to keep you down.
Keep up the good work, and please please please, don't change anything about your breads! They need no improvement! Maybe you could make a new line of Dave's Killer Buns? :)

a killer day--portland farmers' market opens

Yep...another great day at the farmers' market, Portland's opening day (last Saturday). It was great to see my old friends, like Betsy (with friend, at left). The rain didn't even seem to faze anyone. That's P-town for ya.
Connie of Blossom Vinegars has one of the most attractive booths at the market.
Edgar (not in picture) of Fressen had a great day selling his hearty artisan breads.

I can't remember who these ladies are. But

they sure make a nice picture.

He ain't no lady, but it was cool to see Chad at the market. One of those who makes it all happen.

another killer bread design triumph!

Do you remember our truck-sign design contest last fall? Of course , ya don't. But if you did, you'd know that one of the winners was the idea of a "line-up" of dkb characters and yours truly. The original idea was submitted by Betsy Levine, who won the contest. Since then, we have molded and shaped this ball of clay. We went out and got some nice big digital photos and now Shobi has used the Illustrator program to create this mock-up. I'd appreciate any comments you might have before we actually get in on the trucks.

dave's killer bread in seattle (update)

Dave, oh Dave. My husband and I were introduced to your bread (Good Seed) by our bestest friends in Portland. We go to New Seasons every time we are there and stock up....but.. in between trips, we are jonesin' for your bread. Is there any intention to start moving your goods North? We have Whole Foods in Seattle!! I just can't get enough of PBJ's on your bread! Thanks, tracy

We are almost there. We've worked out distribution to all 6 Metropolitan Markets up there, beginning in the next couple of weeks. I will be up there myself, hanging out at the "kiosk" sampling bread in each MM store.
