vancouver farmers' market--let's rock!

What's the weather gonna be like this weekend? Your guess is as good as mine. Whatever the weather, you can be pretty sure I will be at Vancouver Farmers' Market's opening day this Saturday. I hope to see you there, too.

I'm not sure what else is going to be there. Their website, though attractively designed, is seriously lacking in content--as I rediscovered when I visited a few minutes ago. Someone needs to have a talk with those boys.

Last year was my first year there. It is a popular market, and people love my bread there, so I'm going back. We're keeping a slightly lower profile this year, hanging out just inside the front door of the indoor market.

I'm planning to have some new varieties from time to time, and this Saturday, I'll introduce my organic cinnamon-raisin spelt bread. I think it's delicious, and it's got lots of fiber. I designed it for people who choose not to eat conventional wheat, for whatever reasons. But this is just good bread.

One more thing: people who read my blog (that's you) get a Dave's Killer Bread shopping bag made from recycled bottles. Magic words: "Hook it up, Dave!" Be the first on your block...:-)

Dave, I think I know what you mean about the Vancouver Farmer's Market Website...I went there this morning to confirm that the outdoor market was actually was opening today, and I kind of expected something big at the top of the page. But nothing. They do have something about the outdoor market opening, but it's way down on their calendar as if it's just another day. I think the opening day of an outdoor market is a big deal....so I guess I expected more. By the way, The cinammon raisin loaf is awesome. Toasted it up and put some soy margarine on it. Delicious! Then I had a sandwich with the peace bomb slices. Excellent.
