a little love from the bloggers (and some pix from the archives)

Here are a few blog entries that salute dkb, and some totally unrelated pictures from my archives. Letting others do the talking has become a bit of a tradition with my blog--they can tell it better than I can.

(Sin Dawg photo by Julie Hasson)

The following is from Julie Hasson's (http://www.everydaydish.tv/) blog. I have already recorded two segments on her and her husband's show, one of which--Sin Dawg--is already up on the main page of their website. Here is what she says about it in her blog:

This incredible bread is a Sin Dawg from Dave Dahl, of Dave's Killer Bread. It's super awesomely delicious, and virtuous too! It's a lovely, soft whole grain dough wrapped up with an ooey-gooey cinnamon sugar filling. A-mazing!! Fortunately even if you don't live in Portland and frequent the Saturday Farmer's Market, you can still get your hands on one. Well actually three. Not only did Dave share the recipe with us, but he also filmed a segment of Everyday Dish, and will walk you through the entire bread baking process. Now there's no excuse for you not to bake up a batch at home. The recipe and video are up on Everyday Dish. The direct link to the video is here.I'll be back in a couple of days with a review of a creamy new ice cream hitting the market. Until then, go bake yourself a batch of Sin Dawgs!

make your own sin dawg...

killer bread...on "Curves Ahead"

Sandi Serling http://serlingpr.com/ (niece of The Twilight Zone's Rod Serling) is the host of an upcoming show called "Curves Ahead", in which she rides her motorcycle around and runs into interesting people.

So, what does that have to do with me, you ask? Well, I'm the first person she happens onto for the show's pilot. Somehow, we end up in "my" house making a loaf of bread on a little kitchenaid. Why any woman would meet a guy who looks like me and then follow him into his house because he's got his picture on a bread truck is not for me to answer. Fortunately, everything turns out ok, even the bread-which we share in (pinch me) Anne Jaeger's http://www.gardengal.tv/home/ backyard. Uh, I mean my backyard.

1. Anne and me--great picture, I'm thinking. And I didn't even get her autograph.
2. Sandi and bike with me and the dkb truck.
3. Make-up by Anne.
4. Sandi, me, and tv crew in Anne's backyard.
5. With the crew: sound guy Jim, Anne Jaeger, cameraman Ed, Sandi Serling, Big Daddy. Missing from the photo is the producer, Reagan Ramsey.
6. Sandi's taking the pictue this time-Reagan's in the shot at right.
7. Talking with Reagan.

in case you missed this one

In my never-ending quest for attention, I have made several appearances now on TV. The first was back in '05 during our first year of DKB when the lovely Amy Troy did a story on us for Channel 8 News Channel 8 News 11-8-05
The 2nd (in August of last year) can be viewed here:

To set the record straight, I made a live appearance on the show:
